🌟 In the northeastern province of Chaiyaphum, monks-to-be are thrown and shaken to the tunes of big drums around the village in the rital of Hae Nak Hod. They say this is the way to make sure new monks can sustain the torture, just like their mothers, who had to suffer the ”Yoo Fai“ postnatal treatment heat.
The Hae Nak Hod is a longstanding festival in Ban Non Salao - Non Tan in the Phu Khiew district of Chaiyaphum. This year, the ceremony will begin on May 10, from 2 p.m. onwards.
